The lineup looks like we're trying to give Philly a chance to win. That's fine, it's preseason. It's obviously more important to get a look at our players and evaluate them. I personally LOVE preseason and getting a look at guys you normally don't get to see much. The play is relatively sloppy but usually the folks are pretty motivated and play hard. I've been to preseason Ranger-Devils games that turn into real slobber knockers.
I think this line up will have speed. Blandisi has been showing a lot of speed and promise..big game for him to step up. A lot of these guys will be cut by tomorrow, I will be watching
Signing Quincey confuses me a bit. Like we already have 4 LHD with Greene, Auvitu , Moore, and Merrill. So signing another seems to put me at a loss...

I believe he played on the opposite side in DET because they hardly have any RHD could be why they brought him in. I just don't know why they don't do it before camp starts.

Yeah, and I thought Mozik seemed NHL ready too... that said, it was only 1 preseason game that I saw so who knows.

Devils just signed Kyle Quincey to a one year deal, anyone know much about him? Cant say I've seen him much - sendingSTRENGTH
sort of stinks but doesnt stink enough to be out of the league
he was practicing with the some Av players at U of Denver before training camp started, so at least he has been skating. Wasnt the most impressive guy at the informal skates but im sure he will be fine for 3rd pairing

Apparently Merrill is going to start playing his off side. I'd assume this means that Santina starts with Albany...and same for Mozik I guess. Too bad, I really have a good feeling about Mozik. Hope he gets a chance.

There are several pre-season games for the spots to be won or lost. The competition will be fun to watch with all these guys fighting for that 6th D spot. It looks like Albany will have a decent group also so that's good.

Players get hurt, everyone will get their chance to steal one of those last spots at some point in the year. Quincey, Merrill and Santini among others. I'd rather see Santini out of all of them.
